Walk and Wheel Month Challenge 2007
On October 3, millions of people around the world will celebrate International Walk to School Day. This year Laurelhurst families are turning an event into a habit by pledging to walk or bike all month long… and we want you to join us!

bullet Environmentally responsible transportation choices

You can help bring all these benefits to our families and our school by participating in Laurelhurst’s Walk and Wheel to School Month Challenge.

To participate, you must register by October 1.
To register, email Ellen Aagaard at ellaag(at)yahoo(dot)com with your child’s name, teacher and grade, and your email address.

 
Record Your Trips

Use this special calendar (Word doc) to record your trips to school during October 2007 by foot, bike, or bus. Helpful hints for how to participate, even if you live far away or take the bus, are included on the calendar.

Tally your trips and turn the calendar in by November 1st. We will deliver your prizes to your teacher.
