Laurelhurst School Playground Renovation Project
Our school needs a new playground and
our families and community are pulling together to make it happen.
Find project updates and check
out the plans for the new playground at
www.seattleschools.org/schools/laurelhurst/playground.
We reached our fundraising goal
but your support is still appreciated as there's still much to do. Remember,
you can still get a Legacy Brick:
Legacy Brick Walkway
What will your Laurelhurst Legacy Brick say? The new south playground will
include a new brick walkway as part of a more welcoming entrance to the
school off of 47th Ave. NE. Don't miss the chance to buy a Laurelhurst
Legacy Brick and have your family name, your child's name, a favorite
saying, your company name, etc. permanently engraved on the grounds of the
new Laurelhurst School Community Playground. Details of the Legacy Brick
Sale including pricing for the bricks will be available soon.

Here are some of the events that have
helped us meet our goal.
Thank you for your support of all of our fundraisers.
Some of the Fundraising Events
Golf for the Playground
A golf tournament at Sand Point golf course was a success thanks to tournament sponsorships and support
from community businesses and service providers who gave generously.
Garden Tour & Spring Gift Boutique
Garden Tour was wonderful! - Ask anyone who went
on the Garden Tour or volunteered and they'll tell you that it was
wonderful! Beautiful weather and beautiful spring gardens added up to a
successful playground fundraiser. Tour tickets along with the Gift Boutique
proceeds, and no expenses incurred, the event raised $3100! Thanks to all
who helped make this a fun fundraiser. We are already talking about "next
time" and "next year"!
Pancake Breakfast & Family Fun Walk
Thanks! - We'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who
participated in and supported the Pancake Breakfast and Family Fun
Walk! Over 600 people joined us to eat yummy Great Harvest Bread Company
pancakes, drink delicious Starbucks coffee, cheer with Captain Husky, admire
the talents of our amazing Unicycle Performance Team and/or walk the
one-mile neighborhood route.
We are so impressed and proud of our
school and local community for the incredible teamwork and collaboration
demonstrated in this activity. Amazingly even the weather cooperated. There
were so many people volunteering to help in some way - there are too many to
name! We appreciate everyone's contribution! We succeeded in raising money
AND community awareness for the Laurelhurst School Community Playground
Renovation Project. We can be extremely proud of efforts and teamwork; we're
closer to our goal of a new school community playground for kids and
families to enjoy!
Thank you again from Lee Hults, Lisa White, Evy Flynn and Melissa Udd--

Fundraiser at Great Harvest Bakery!
The good folks at Great Harvest opened their bakery on Sun., March 4, a
day they're normally closed. They donated 100% of the proceeds from sales on
that day to support our school. Please be sure to say thanks when you stop
by next time!
