Ms. Keith's 1st Grade
The students in Ms. Keith's class have learned the art of glass blowing!
Corey Hubbell, a Laurelhurst-student's uncle, taught them how to create this
beautiful masterpiece at his studio in Redmond.
They have created 26 colorful glass balls plus a larger ball created by Ms.
Keith. They are displayed in a beautiful glass bowl that was created and
signed by the artist. Corey Hubbell has blown glass for over 16 years and
has worked with many established Northwest artists including
Dale Chihuly. |
Ms. Carroll's 1st Grade
Add this colorful Smith and Hawken birdbath to your garden. Ms. Carroll’s
class learned to identify and draw each part of a dragonfly. Then, each
child used pencil to draw his/her own dragonfly on a three-inch ceramic
tile. The children then painted their dragonflies to create this
one-of-a-kind garden decoration.
